Photo 1 Final

1]

A]
1. Aperture - The aperture controls the depth of field.
2. Shutter Speed - Regulates the exposure of the photo to light.
3. Burning & Dodging - Burning gives extra exposure to areas of a print. Dodging does the opposite.
4. Under Exposure - This happens when a photo was not exposed to for a long enough time
5. Rembrandt Lighting - Creating a triangle shape under a person's eye.

B]
For this photo, i used a low shutter speed. Because of this, the photo does not seem blurred.

2]
Annie Leibovitz: Annie is very influential because her photos are truly memorizing. Each portrait captures the person's personality. For example, the photo of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, taken the day Lennon died, captured John perfectly. He had no problem posing nude and holding the person he loved. Her photos influence me to make my photos natural, whether they are posed or not.

3]

1. This is a still life photograph because it shows a inanimate object
2. the trays/food items are inanimate. The objects were arranged by me to look this way.
3. The image is strong because of the surroundings of the trays. The school setting lead one to believe that more food is thrown away than eaten.

1. A portrait shows off a person.
3. The lighting highlights the person well and provides for a good contrast with the dark background.

1. A documentary photo documents subject
2. The photo shows a view into a school that is rarely seen.
3. The print has a very nice contrast. the image is very strong because it does not show the person's head.

1. A documentary photo documents subject
2. The photo shows off a view of a school that is rarely seen.
3. The image gives off a "light at the end of the tunnel" feel.

1. Abstract photography does not depict objects in a natural world.
2. One can not find out what the image actually is by just looking at the photo.
3. The image makes you guess what it is.

shutter/aperture stuff

The shutter speed controls the time of exposure. if a object is in motion when the photo is taken with a shutter speed of 1, the object will be blurred. if a object is in motion with a shutter speed of 1000, the object will appear still. Here is a example, the first photo uses a quick shutter speed, the second uses a slower speed.

the Aperture controls the depth of field. the lower the aperture, the more depth.
f/32 - narrow aperture and low shutter speed

the higher the aperture, the less depth
f/5 - wide aperture and high shutter speed

Library Legs

This photo was taken in the Library using a pinhole camera. A 10 minute exposure time was used. Credit to Shelly's legs for their appearence.

TJ's Ghost

This Photo was taken using a pinhole camera. TJ sat for 3 minutes before getting up to create the effect. I then placed a broom in TJ's place to create the effect you see through his head.
